Olaplex – What to expect / results of having an Olaplex treatment.

What is Olaplex?

Olapex is a revolutionising treatment that rebuilds broken hair and helps reconnect broken bonds. Hair bonds will break once it has either been coloured, exposed to heat or has been chemically treated.

Olaplex allows you to rebuild the strength, structure and integrity of hair and is compatible with all hair types.

 

How often should I use Olaplex?

There’s different ways that you could use Olaplex, either having a stand alone service in your salon or the home care products.

If you have blonde bleached hair and tend to use a lot of heat, I would highly recommend you have Olaplex in your colour every time and use the home products to maintain the condition.

If your one of those clients that don’t use colour and just go to salon every 6-8 weeks for a cut then I would recommend having the treatment in the salon each time you visit or every other.

 

How I feel about Olaplex ?

As a hairstylist/colourist, I am a big fan of Olaplex. I see such amazing results and I love what it does to the hair. It’s perfect for all hair types as it really helps with reconstructing your hair internally.

Personally I would always ask for it in my colour as the quality of my hair will always feel like no other. After application my hair will always feel stronger yet so soft and shiny.

I tend to have really frizzy, curly hair and it actually eliminates the frizz too which really helps on a night out whether the humidity is out of control or for those rainy horrible days/nights.

There’s different ways you could apply Olaplex but in my profesional opinion honest the salon treatment (no1 &no2) is the strongest and best one.

If your hair needs extra loving then I would personally suggest having all of the following applied, the shampoo (no4) , conditioner (no5), the bonding oil (no7), hair perfector (no3) & bond smoother (no6). I would ask your hair guru (stylist/colourist) for there recommendation.

• a little tip with no 3 + no 7 i do at times is leave it in my hair as a styling product (when my hair is curly) or before i wash to blow dry (over night or for a couple of hours)

Overall i love it and i hope this helps. I understand this treatment and products are not for everyone but i will carry on loving it and using on my clients as its really and truly incredible. Thank god for Olaplex as i can push that little more further on colour changes, services and for gorgeous looking hair.
